Your computer is made up of several different components inside it and this is known as the hardware. There are some main computer hardware components such as Central Processing Unit (CPU), RAM, ROM, and Hard Drive.
Processor
The processor is a chip housed on the motherboard and is the ‘heart’ of a computer system – it controls everything. It contains the circuitry which processes the instructions in the computer programs by interpreting them into actual movements of bits of data within the computer memory. The processor in a personal computer or embedded in small devices is often called a microprocessor.
Memory RAM/ROM
RAM (random access memory) functions as a short-term memory for
computer. It provides temporary data storage and it is accessible through the
CPU (central processing unit). RAM has the potential of being retrieved while a
computer is on only.
ROM (read-only memory) is a computer memory on which data is
stored. Once data is stored onto a ROM chip, it can’t be erased and can only be
read. It even holds its contents even if the PC is switched off.
The majority of PCs have a small amount of ROM that stores important programs for instance the program that boots the computer. More over, ROMs are used widely in calculators and other devices like laser printers, whose fonts are also saved in ROMs.

Graphics Card
A graphics card, also known as a video card, is a piece of hardware installed in a computer that is responsible for rendering the image on the computer’s monitor or display screen. Graphics
cards are PCBs (printed circuit boards) that perform the dual role of sending
pixels to the display and providing a specific type of processing using a GPU
(graphical processing unit).
Hard Drive
A hard drive or Hard Disk Drive/HDD is the computer's main storage media device that permanently stores all data on the computer. The hard disk drive is the main, and usually largest, data storage device in a computer. The operating system, software titles and most other files are stored in the hard disk drive.
